Black People... A Cyber Reading - 11/11-13 - Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Los Angeles, CA An on line, cyber reading of the history book BLACK PEOPLE AND THEIR PLACE IN WORLD HISTORY by Dr. Leroy Vaughn, MD, MBA, Historian, Humanitarian, Honorary African Chief, is being held November 11-13th, 2011 on Ustream TV.  The reading is hosted and many of the readings done by J. Nayer Hardin of the Computer Underground Railroad, a cyber division of the original that uses computers and other technology to help people be free.
The great American journalist Brad Pye, Jr. wrote in the book’s Foreward “Dr. Vaughn Leroy William Vaughn M.D., M.B.A. is not only one of the world’s renowned ophthalmologists, but also one of the leading authorities on Black history. Basketball is Michael Jordan’s game. Black history and ophthalmology are Dr. Vaughn’s games. Dr. Vaughn’s medical credentials and expertise as a diabetic eye specialist and as a remarkable surgeon make him one of the leading practitioners in his field. His knowledge as an historian is equally as outstanding.
Dr. Vaughn’s patients swear by him for his medical skills. Historians marvel at him because of his talents as a researcher and writer on the subject of Black history. As a lecturer, he’s one of the most in-demand speakers in the nation. Like magic, Dr. Vaughn can rattle off facts on Black history like an orator recites a speech he has practiced on delivering for days. When it comes to reciting the roles Black people have played in world history, Dr. Vaughn has dazzled some of the most learned minds in America.” …Confirmation of this fact can be found on the pages of this in-depth study on the subject.
The book is a breathtaking journey through world history with a focus on little known Black history, like who created civilization, who was the ancient woman pharaoh, what happened on Black Wall Street that is still being felt, who was Paul Cuffee, Lieutenant Willa Beatrice Brown and what made them so special, vital truth that is missing in much of our society.  The book eloquently conveys how much humanity has and can overcome.
Dr. Vaughn has been studying Black history with a passion since the ‘60’s.  The work began as five-minute history lessons at the end of weekly newscasts on KPFK radio.  Subsequently, the Los Angeles Sentinel newspaper agreed to publish these history articles weekly in a section entitled "Our African Heritage." KTYM also includes Dr. Vaughn in their annual Black History Month coverage.  The book has an extensive bibliography to Amazon.
You, family, friends, church, associates, etc. are invited to attend this historic cyber reading that begins before it was illegal for Black people to read, to a cyber reading of Black People.  Here are links to the reading’s details – subject to slight modification before days of air.
